The Classics // Our first drop

The Classics // Our first drop

We can't say enough how much we appreciate you! We've only just announced we exist and the reception and support has been overwhelmingly positive. So let's talk about what's in store for our first drop!

TL;DR - We're selling shirts and hats first with neat stuff on them. Then dropping new products every few weeks.

A long time ago I made it a habit to doodle on nearly every receipt I signed. Passing it around a table after a meal, letting everyone contribute to something, then leaving it on the table is a great way to creatively bond with people. Try it next time you're out with your friends or family, I guarantee they'll remember the time they spent with you fondly. I've always loved to draw, but never thought I was good enough. It's something I've worked on for many years now. The summer and fall leading up to the election of 2016 really formed my attempts at drawing into actual expression, but that's a story for another day 😉. A few years ago I bought an iPad so I could draw all the time, and finally felt like I had the tools to create and grow as an artist that worked best for me. Over the next few years I created a series of characters, doodles and digital paintings that I shared with friends and family, mostly to simply make them laugh. Eventually people began to tell me I should do something with them, so I took it as a sign that I needed a way to share these with more than just my immediate circle. I started with stickers. Passing them out to random people and co-workers and tagging my local haunts started scratching an itch I didn't know I had. The reception was polarizing and I loved it. Big smiles and concerned gazes both led to a great sense of purpose, and some great conversations. People started recognizing my work in public and I felt like I was developing a style. Good or bad, you knew it was a PizzaCoffee. Undeniably unique. From here I knew I wanted to do something more, and more importantly DO SOMETHING! Too often I, and so many other people, sit on our work and never finish or release it. Make the thing and finish it, share it, learn from it, and do it again. This is why I built PizzaCoffee.

Our first drop is what we consider our classics. The drawings that started it all. The characters and creatures I first made stickers of, and a few new friends. There are still a bunch of classic designs we're holding on to for some sick 🤙 releases later this year. Make sure to sign up to our email list for sneak peeks!

To keep it simple we've decided to release these classic designs on t-shirts and a few hats. The designs will be available in multiple product colors. The classics catalog will include new designs and products like hoodies, merch, jackets and more over time. We'll be teasing out the products before we launch, so in the mean time here's some receipt doodles. I hope they inspire you to create something silly and let it go.

Until next time. Thanks again for all your continued support!

- Cody (Founder of PizzaCoffee)
